0xdeadbeefdeadbeef but found 0xffffff80376def50
0xdeadbeefdeadbeef is a bit pattern the operating system often writes into RAM that had been used and then given back to the kernel to detect if the kernel code in question forgets it gave the RAM back and continues to use it. It is also written before and after RAM allocations to see if kernel code writes past the end of the allocation.
My best guess, you have a 3rd party kernel extension that either A) wrote into RAM that it told the operating system it was no longer using, or B) it has a broken pointer and wrote to random kernel memory, or C) it was trying to be clever and snoop on the code in another kernel extension trying to influence that code's behavior.
These are you most likely suspects:
- com.symantec.kext.SymAPComm 12.7.1f4
- com.symantec.kext.fw 5.3.1f4
- com.symantec.kext.ips 3.10.2f23
- com.symantec.kext.pf 5.7.1f4
- com.symantec.kext.internetSecurity 5.4f4
Besides, you do NOT need 3rd party anti-malware products. The Mac includes its own
