iMovie 11 photos missing

I Use iMovie all the time with no problems. Now I have started a new project and find when I go to the media screen on the bottom right (audio, photos,transitions, etc) there are no photos from iPhoto when I click on the camera button. What the heck is going on and how do I fix the problem?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
