I put my iPod touch 5th generation on charge last night and when I woke up it won't turn back on, it shows the Apple logo screen for it turning on but then it goes back to a black screen. Please help! I don't want to restore it!

If you press the home button and power button for 10-15 seconds it will not erase any content or do anything to your iPod, just restart it.
If not successful try the remaining items of:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
Hi, I've tried what you suggested with the restart but it still doesn't seem to be turning back on. Any other suggestions or advice?
You don't have much choice tut to try and restore it at this point.
