Connecting to a Share it will mount twice on the desktop

I am working on an issue where when I connect to a Network Share it will mount that share on the desktop twice.

I have to enter a windows username and password and then the share will be mounted. If I only get it mounted once when I go into my E-mail program and try to attached a file from this location it will mount the share a second time.
