Q: WiFi network problems with my MacBook Pro Retina

I have a 15" MacBook Pro Retina display, 2 ½ years old. I have intermittent problems with the connection to my WiFi network. Right now the download speed is 1 Mbps and my iPhone 6 has a download speed of 70 Mbps on the same network. What could be wrong?

Aperture 3, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)
