G-Drive works in Yosemite not Maverick

I have come across a weird problem.

I have a G Technology G-Drive 1TB, this is an external HD. It works on my 13" Macbook Pro (Yosemite) perfectly. When i plug it into another 15" Macbook Pro (Maverick) it is only visible in Disk Utilities, same goes for the 11" Macbook Air (Maverick).
Been searching the net last couple hours and yet to find a solution. The drive works, but not on the Maverick machines. Anyone can think of a solution, or at least a reason for this problem?
