Not all pics are uploaded to iCloud.com using Photos app

Hey,

I copied every photo that I have into the Photos app. Removed everything from my iPhone and iCloud.com. But now I see that I have more then 9000 photos in the photos app but only +- 3700 on the iPhone and iCloud.com.

I checked the sync setting and everything is up to date it says. How can this be? I have 200 GB online storage. Must be enough right?

What am I doing wrong? Why doesn't it transfer the 9000 pics to the iCloud?

Hey,

Thank you for your feedback.

What do you mean with referenced photos? Like stored somewhere else?

I dragged/imported them from my SD card (who's always connected).

Can this be the problem?

Referenced files are files that are kept outside of the Photos library file, you can create a smart album that contains referenced files to see if you have any.

Waauw. Yes. I found (with your help) that the other 6000 are referenced.

How do I get this fixed that they also get uploaded? And why isn't this stored into my library file?

I'm not at my computer, so am not absolutely sure how the options are phrased, but....

FIrstly have a look in your preferences, check that the box is checked to import photos to the photo library.

Then you need to consolidate the referenced photos, which I believe you can do from the file menu.
