Can the New Macbook be Charged Through A Hub

Can I attach any USB 2.0 or 3.0 hub to the New Macbook and charge it by attaching the charging cable to the hub?

MacBook, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

Yup, should not have any difficulties there, since the usb-c port is designed to both transfer data and charge.
