HI. I have an iPad 2 (Wi-Fi & Cellular) IOS 5.1.1 .
I Want to Upgrade it to IOS 8 .
And I do some steps:
1- I searched in SoftWare Update , and it say : it's updated 5.1.1
2- I reset my iPad from Settings .
3- I restored my iPad from PC .
And it still in IOS 5.1.1
I read in IOS9's page. The IOS9 is compatible with iPad2

In reality, The iPad is for my friend and he is in his home.
If the iPad has 2cameras( front and back)= 2nd generation
1 camera or nothing = 1st generation

Only the original (iPad 1) is camera-less. All other models have 2 cameras (front and rear).
BNut why my iPad 2 when I restore it still in 5.1.1
Please verify the model number at: Settings - General - About - Model = ??

yes it's compatible, but it works much slower than IOS 7.
No iPads have had just the one camera, if it only has something on the front of it above the screen then that is the ambient light sensor for auto-brightness, and is the first gen iPad which only supports up to iOS 5.1.1 - all other iPads have front and rear cameras
