Does Duck Duck Go have any spyware or malicious entities on it? I'm not sure how Duck became my search engine (when using Safari), and I don't mind it as long as it isn't malicious; is it as safe as chrome, foxfire or the rest? I've never heard of it before.

You can select from four different search engines in Safari.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Search tab.
Click the pop up menu next to: Search engine
If you did not select DuckDuck Go as your search engine, malware may be responsible.
