Sound output

Hi,

Is it possible to have both sound output on a midi keyboard and internally (either at the same time or through some switch) ?

Thank you for your help

MacBook Pro (17-inch Early 2008), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

It depends on what you are really asking...

1) If you want to hear the audio from Logic play through your Keyboard's speakers then.....

Unless your Midi Keyboard has an Audio Input... then no... as Midi does not contain Audio information.. just midi data...

2) If you want to hear the sound of your keyboard play through your Mac's speakers then....

Yes.. You will need an audio interface.. and you connect the audio outputs of your midi keyboard to the inputs of your audio interface.. and you route the audio from the audio interface to your Mac's internal speakers... or.... some form of cable between the audio outputs of your keyboard and the audio input on your MBP will work too as your MBP is an older model

Again,, Midi does not contain audio information.. just Midi data hence the need to get the audio out from your keyboard and into your Mac....
