iPhone must connect to iTunes

iPhone must connect to iTunes: I have an iPhone 4 (that is jailbroken) and a few nights ago I got it wet. The morning after, I tried to turn on my phone but it was dead. Once I charged it, the symbol saying that I needed to connect to iTunes came up. I left it charging then when I went back later, it was back to normal and I could use it as usual. Today, my phone died, and upon plugging it in to charge, the same symbol came up. How do I fix this? I DO NOT want to restore it.
