I have an airport extreme. Recently I am able to see the wifi signal from my devices but there was no data transfer, couldn't browse or use any network.
I tried soft, hard and factory default resets. However, unable no data goes through. I tried connecting to the LAN using the same cable directly to my laptop and I was able to browse.
Any ideas?
Let's start by having you provide the exact model number of your AirPort Extreme base station please ...
Also, what is the make & model of the networking device (modem / gateway) that it is connected to?
So apparently my ISP had made changes to IPV6 and I had to go into the airport Utility and change IPV6 settings from Automatic to link-local.
Found out from someone who ran into the same problem but was made by the ISP to go purchase a new router. smh @ ISP.
All working now.
