How to delete songs from 2nd gen. iPod shuffle?

Hi, I am using iTunes 12.1.2.27 on a 2012 Macbook Pro.

I wanted to delete all my songs off of my 2nd generation iPod however I can't find any way to do that. I googled it and found that I had to check the manually manage music option however I don't have that option. As you can see here I don't have any options for that. Please help!
