Any photos iniphoto or on smugmug are totally pixilating when enlarged or when edit is engaged in iPhoto since upgrading last week.

OSX version 10.9.5

processor 2.8.GHz Intel Core i7

GB 1067 MHz DDR3

iPhoto 9.5.1. (902.17)

Since upgrading everytime I move to edit in iPhoto the photos totally pixilate. There is no access to use of iphoto now for anything but storage!

Prior to the upgrade the photos would often not come into sharp focus while in edit mode.

Help please!

iMac (27-inch Late 2009), OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

There have been no updates or upgrades to iPhoto for months

And iPhoto 9.5.1 is the latest version that will run on OS X 10.9.5 - but ti has been around for many, many months , maybe a year

Please give us details on exactly what you have recently changed

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution. We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:

what system are you running?
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what are the pixel dimensions of the photos you're trying to edit?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring? What were they?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?
