Jun 29, 2015 7:39 PM in response to gpanickarby gail from maine,You do not need to authorize your computer to sync with your device. You only need to Authorize a computer in iTunes in order to be able to play or re-download iTunes purchases.
To sync your device to iTunes on a computer select the link below that corresponds with your computer type:
iTunes 12 for Mac: Sync iPod, iPhone, or iPad
iTunes 12 for Windows: Sync iPod, iPhone, or iPad
To Authorize a computer, click on the Store option in the top menu and then on Authorize this Computer.

Jun 29, 2015 7:38 PM in response to gpanickarby Niel,For a computer running Mac OS X, move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.
For a computer running Windows, press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.
