I just bought new macbook pro retina early 2015. I have an AOC U2868PQU monitor. When I connect with mini DPI to DPI on monitor I get a small area of the screen that lights up and distorts then there is a click and the screen turns off. The display recognizes. I run in mirror mode. Any advice on making it work. When I connect the monitor to an HDMI mac mini it works fine. Any advice on how to setup?

were you able to get your U2868 monitor working? I'm considering buying one to replicate your exact setup, but wont if it's not functional with the new 13" Retina Pro.

I got it to work through HDMI but not DPI port. I contacted apple who told me to contact AOC who never responded to my request. So it works but not at the full specifications. If I could do all over - I would not buy this monitor but the hassle of returning has resulted in my accepting this.
