iPhone 6 touchscreen too sensitive

The touchscreen on my new iPhone 6 is either too sensitive or controlled by demons. It's almost like someone is remotely controlling my phone.

It doesn't matter if I'm at the lock screen or using an app like facebook or youtube, it goes nuts and enters things on my behalf. Help!!

I have seen that mentioned elsewhere in the forums. For me the charger is not the issue. It happens when running on battery. My charger is the one supplied with the phone.

The static/EMP thought crossed my mind too. I have ceiling fans all through my house, but turning them off made no difference (and they have never bothered any of my other iPhones).

I just got off the phone with Apple Support. The tech stated he had worked on this issue before, but there wasn't always a single solution. Sometimes it was a software fix, other times a trip to the store for hardware support was required, and sometimes it was both. Argh.

I did update to IOS 8.4. Since then I have not seen the issue, however, it is sporadic, so I requested another support callback next week.

Since updating to IOS 8.4, the problem has disappeared. At least as of this writing.

Note that my "new" iPhone 6 was "restored" from a backup of an iPhone 4s, which was running 8.3, when I experienced this issue. At first I thought it was just me, but the problem was so severe I wanted to dump my new phone and revert to the 4s.

OK.... Finally I called them as they did not call me. The phone started acting up again this AM. The advisor wanted me to "erase" the phone so that only Apple software was installed. Since my phone is used for work, and the problem is sporadic, this is not happening. I cannot go for days without my e-mail and apps working, might as well carry around a Pet Rock.

Not happy.

Yes!! I have this problem, too! Had this happen a month ago - somewhat entertaining, actually! - but when I reported to AppleCare chat they suggested that since my warranty would expire in a month, I should take it to the AppleStore for a possible replacement. And I did get a replacement. The new phone did the same thing! So I went back yesterday for the third new phone, and yes... this one's haunted, too.

I agree with the commenter that it only seems to happen when it's connected to the charger cord - and to an outlet, not to a computer. Previously, it has opened random apps, tried to enter passwords (dots, so I don't know if the passwords are correct or not), and tried to make a phone call - all while I was watching and not touching/holding it. Now, I can wave my hand across it, hovering about 1/2" from the screen, and it moves from app to app, scrolling up and down the page... weird. So, I'm here searching for a possible sensitivity setting. I found where the 6S has a setting, but can't find it for the 6. Help?

I'll try adjusting the setting before contacting Apple again.
