slot drive issues cd ejects will not accept cd

When I put any cd - music, blank dvd, etc- the disc is ejected immediately.

• I tried compressed air to clean out the drive but it still does not work.
• I am on OSX Yosemite 10.10.3 -
• my IMAC is 2010- 2.66 GJx Intel Core 2 Duo memory- 4G B
• Have all the updates

What is the problem?

thanks for any help on this... guess it is time to buy a new updated MAC

I will never buy anything else.... love my MAC!!!
