Why is the Apple Music iPad app different than iPhone version?

I notice the iPad Mini version of the Apple Music app is quite a bit different than the iPhone version. Both devices (iPad Mini and iPhone 6) are logged in with the same Apple ID, both are connected to Wi-Fi. With the iPad app, playlists are separated out from My Music, there's no For You section and there's no New section either. Any ideas on why this is the case?

I did toggle off and on a number of times without any change. I closed the app from the multitasking display number of times without any change .I restarted and that seemed to bring it back. Now that I got it to work again, I can toggle the Show Apple Music setting off and on and it works as it should. No idea why it didn't work to begin with.
