How do I change the tempo of an entire song without strange incosistancies between tracks?

This seems simple enough. I'm trying to increase the tempo of a demo song, but when I do the midi drum track is fine, but the audio tracks don't line up at all. I'm not worried so much about sound quality because it's just an experiment to see how the song would sound much faster. Is the a step by step guide out there for this? Does it have something to do with the Flex tool?

Audio will only stay put if it starts at 1 1 1 1. All other audio needs to be SMPTE-locked before altering the tempo.

Even then, though the audio will start at the correct time, it will not conform to the new tempo. For that you have to enable Flex, or, in your case, forget that and just use Varispeed, which was specifically designed for your situation.
