8.4 killed my passcode

As a faithful Apple acolyte, I update everything as soon as it comes out. So when IOS 8.4 came out today, I updated my iPhone 6. And of course, it asks for a passcode afterward to reconnect to the world. Unfortunately, my phone does not now recognize the passcode I have been using everyday for months. I am about one or two attempts from having it erasing my phone. Any ideas on what I should do, or should I just go ahead, bite the bullet and restore from my Mac?

Hi Lee Rodgers,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

It sounds like after updating to iOS 8.4 you are being prompted for your Apple ID password. You may have a different Apple ID for iCloud and iTunes and App Store; make sure you are using the correct password for that account. If you need to reset that password, please follow the instructions located in the attached article below.
