iOS: 'Not enough free space' alert when trying to sync - http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1503 - "When attempting to sync content to an iOS device over USB or Wi-Fi*, iTunes may not transfer data with the iOS device."

The screenshots are shown. There's some kind of disconnect between the 3.53 GB reported and the 440 MB actual. But what?
