Allowing network users to access local software

I am running an Open Directory on Server 4.1 on a Yosemite Mac mini. We have a multimedia lab with nine Mac minis running different types of audio software (Reason, Pro Tools, Sound Studio, etc.). When logging into a lab machine with a network user, all of the software is asking for license keys and in some cases not finding the USB dongle that contains the key. Is there a workaround for this, or would I be better served making local users on these particular machines? Thanks in advance for the help!
