beats 1 channel turns airplay off

When I switch to the new Beats 1 radio channel on iTunes on my mac airplay shuts off and I can only play it on the laptop speakers. The other old radio channels and my personal playlist work on Airplay multiple. When I switch to Beats 1 I have to restart iTunes to get multiple Airplay to work again.

Bug or contract snafu for the radio station?
