Q: iOS 8.4 music app

*** apple? iOS 8.4 music app and the radio that you are pushing on us. I didn't want it when it first came out as I have my own music selection. I tried radio and it sucked, now 8.4 forces apple radio onto the unwary. I couldn't believe all the music I deleted from my devices you automatically made me follow these artist who I no longer have interest in. It will take a little getting used to the new music app, it has some good things but gee. Some people may like the radio but for me it just didn't interest me. Also not all countries have the freedom of cheap Internet data, so to use apple radio it is just nasty on data costs. I think I hear Steve Jobs screaming ***

Giving it a try. I really don't like the symptoms Apple is displaying as of late. 8( Are they trying to alienate us?

And it's only on select devices which means you can't just download it to any Android phone.

Yeah. Doesn't seem terribly relevant to this discussion.

    Dear Apple,

The music app at 8.4 ***** big time. Not only did you remove genius mixes and confuse your users with many changes; but over all this is not a production app. Genius playlist that used to spin up from familiar songs no longer do. Often volume levels fluctuate for no apparent reason. Oh and the button locations and auto minimizing of the song/album is poonly laid out. I've always been a fan of playing mostly my own music but now that the music app blows I find myself regularly playing Spotify or Pandora instead. Thanks for killing a good thing. Please bring stability back to the music app and give us our genius mixes back!

PS, was the app really redesigned because you guys made new iPhones too big and hard to reach the traditional buttons etc?

Does TuneShell have a button (usually a circular arrow) that replays the last 15 seconds, more or less, of a track?

    Thanx.

Does it record your plays when you sync it back with iTunes?

Dear Apple IOS designers and implementors; 1) Please bring back the option to create and list our own radio stations without having to type an artist in each time, and allow for sort options A-Z & Date created, place this above "recently played", without having to manually recreate the station from artist from my own music library. 2) Please place my own radio stations @ the top of "Radio" menu, prioritizing my personal radio stations above all other features on the radio page, IE; "featured stations" would be below my own radio stations. 3) Please bring back the option to custom tailor each radio station, based on numerous artist's. 4) Please change the interface menu option for "•••" placing "Remove from My Music" far away from other favorable options - see attached photo. 5) Please integrate the IOS radio user interface, with AppleTV, making them both mirror each other - currently AppleTV still contains my personal artist radio stations feature, but IOS does not. 6) Please reduce the size of "Worldwide. Always on Beats 01" Its really the last thing i want to listen to, and not that interesting of a radio station, the whole point behind music, is to maintain a separate musical identity.

One more final request, 7) Please bring back the option to "Never play this song again", rather then generalizing it to "Play More Like This" & "Play Less Like This", because there are some tracks well beyond my appreciation for. Thank you.

To heck with this piece of  $ hi t  BLOATWARE.

    1. Its basically a constant advertisement for  Apple music , even when turned off from settings>music.

    2. If you have a lot of songs on your device,  and you want to swtich from list by song ,>> to list by artist, you have to scroll all the way back to the top to search by artist. If you have a lot of songs on your device, that makes it really had versus when listing by artist/ song were at the bottom of the screen locked in place so you can easily switch without scrolling back to the top ????

    3. I am seriously thinking about getting non-Apple  for my next phone.  Imessage is fraught with problems (because engineers thought it would be smart to attach your phone number to your apple Id).  Music APP is becoming annoying bloatware.

You are slowly becoming Microsoft of the mid 90's . Steve Jobs must be rolling in his grave.

Here's a tip:  To quickly scroll to the top of the screen, just tap the top bar of your screen, where your carrier info/ signal strength appears.

How is having your phone number serve as a point of contact for iMessage a problem?  That would be a logical way to reach you.  But ... irrelevant to this thread anyway.
