Upgrade issue from iOS 8.4 Beta Update to iOS 8.4 GA

It would have been nice if this had been communicated to those with the beta software profile. I was having the same problem stuck for hours on "requesting update" and removing the profile solved it. Thanks!

I tried those instructions but when it reboots I still have the same 'Update Requested' on the Software Update page 😟 I checked and the profile has now gone. I rebooted twice as well as completely powered down, left for 5 mins and powered back up again.

The issue also didn't fix for me, so I repeated the boot (home & power buttons together) and found that I was able to download the software successfully. I read somewhere else earlier today about rebooting twice, so thought I'd give it a go after deleting the profile and it did the trick.

Same for me on the iPhone 6 and iPad air 2 both with beta profile. it seems that this is the only way to install public 8.4. Had also some issue with my macbook 2015 that has also the beta release option to be able to install public 10.10.4. I needed to download the combo 10.10.4 from apple site and install it manually. First time that the issues are so wide. hope it will be better for the next ones. Have a nice day

I am so F*d off it isn't funny, my iPad will only go to the Download screen with the **** Apple logo, and get half way along and then restart? its been doing it now for two days, and it even went flat, I recharged it and it just started up doing the same crap again, I cannot get into the Setting to change anything, just the download or update screen that is it.....WHAT do I do?

After 20 minutes of waiting, the download started.

I've found that I sometimes think I've rebooted but haven't pressed the buttons sufficiently in sync so that I end up just turning it off. They need to be held in until the apple appears.

I can see that it could certainly happen to only turn off the phone, but in this instance on both occasions I didn't release the buttons until the Apple symbol appeared. Very grateful for the fix!
