How do I transfer music onto my iPod that I did not purchase through iTunes? I have music on CDs or other download sources.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Good day lookingforanswers1,


In order to bring music from your computer into the iPod nano you need to first put the music into iTunes on your computer. You can then sync the iPod with the computer.


Music on CDs can be brought into iTunes using the procedures found here -


Import songs from CDs in iTunes


Importing music from other sources into iTunes is described in this article -


Import music and video from a computer into iTunes


The process of syncing is described in the manual for this iPod here (page 15) -
