I don't know if in any other country's are affected by that, but I'm living in Vietnam and the subscription fee is only 2.99/month for an individual account (4.99 for family).
Does it means that it is not available there ?
Or are we just luckier in this part of the world ? 🙂

I'm from Armenia, which usually not the lucky part of the world (in the sense of not having Spotify, etc.), but just subscribed to Individual plan for $4.99 and it works. So if says it works, it does :-)

You are lucky. Same as me, I have the individual plan @ $2.99 and family plan @ $4.99
I was shocked since I decided not to leave Melon Music (Korean Music Streaming Site) but I think I might change my mind.
Same here also 🙂. My membership costs just $2.99 per month 🙂.
In Brazil, the individual subscription is 4.99 and the family one 7.99. Not bad!

I saw that some countries will not have full services available. Maybe that's the reason.

I haven't check everything yet, but as far as I can see/read, most supported countries have full services, including Vietnam.

I see this question popping up a lot. Each country has their own music catalog. Size of the music catalogs vary drastically from country to country. To use Vietnam as an example, that store only has a small faction of music to choose from compared the massive US store catalog. So as you can imagine, it definitely wouldn't be fair to charge those customers the same price hence the big price differences.
And before you ask, why content varies from country to country... It's all about licensing, what might be licensed for distribution in one country may not be in another.
