Sony PXW-W200

I just purchased a Sony PXW-W200 camera because it is an XDCAM as are my older cameras. However the SxS cards must be reformatted for the new camera and aren't recognized by XDCAM Transfer. The manual gives very little info on transferring files. How can I get these files into my Mac running OSX 10.6.8?

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 8 Gb ram, ATI Radeon X1900 XT

Not sure you can. That's 7 year old software, and a newer camera. Generally really old software and newer cameras don't mesh. There is software out there to convert that to ProRes, but it requires later OS versions, like 10.9 and 10.10...and those aren't compatible with your FCP 6...so don't update. YOu might need another computer with more current OS to do that. And then software like EditReady from divergentmedia.com, or Sony's NEWER XDCAM TRANSFER tools.
