Feb 22, 2016 3:12 PM in response to Jan@Macby JRW80,It's ridiculous that this happens - couldn't believe it when I subscribed to Apple Music last night and found what a mess it had made of my artwork. It's issues like this that you simply can't justify for an organisation the size of Apple.
However, I found an easy fix, albeit a time-consuming one depending on the size of your existing music library. Simply right click on every affected album in iTunes (which still shows the correct artwork), hit 'Get Info' to edit, select the 'Artwork' tab, then cut the image (Command + X) and paste it back (Command + V), then 'Ok' to finish editing. Within a matter of seconds (depending on your network speed), the artwork will be corrected on your device(s).

Apr 3, 2016 8:22 PM in response to JMG114by Bob Foss,I don't use Match or Apple Music but was getting iTunes selected artwork everytime I synched on my new iPod Touch 6, not my own. Read that the way to solve is putting my device on Airplane Mode; then, the iPod can't go to the iTunes Store to get album artwork...it just synchs what I have in my library. As an extra measure, during synching, I disconnect from Wi-Fi. The only artwork available then is from your library. I found updating my iPod mixes the artwork as I have to go in the internet to download the updates. I've decided no more updates unless it directly affects me or my iPod.

Apr 26, 2016 9:34 AM in response to JMG114by mkems,I subscribe to Match (4 years) and Apple Music (out of the gate)—his is VERY annoying and it is getting WORSE! At first it was just my iOS devices—seemingly random artwork for albums and songs, it has now spread to my Macs. I have artist who I have 10 albums for and the artwork is the same for all 10 albums (OS).
It would be one thing to do this to my Apple Music library; it is unacceptable to do it to my personal library especially my “master Mac”. I have physically loaded decades worth of CDs, for some older stuff I had to locate and physically add artwork. I am visual person and you are removing my “cues”. PLEASE, please, PLEASE, fix this issue!

May 4, 2016 10:15 PM in response to mkemsby mefromflushing,I Have the same issue. Very unimpressed with Apple. i now use googles music service and it's much better. Would recommend that everyone leave Apple and use google play music. It will save everyone a lot of unnecessary aggravation

May 16, 2016 9:42 AM in response to JMG114by Jimimdan,i think the solution is very simple...(it works for me)
i do disable all ibraries, i also create an account to apple music...
i even try to sync iPhone on iTunes without any network connection...
nothing works. every time i try to load a new playlist, apple music replace some album artworks.
finally by accident i found the solution, by going on iPhone to GENERAL>RESTRICTIONS. first enable restrictions , then uncheck(disable) apple music connect button.
that's it. i tested several times with different playlists and no album artwork change.
you can also notice that the "connect" sign in music disappear . Only left the sections : my music, playlists and radio
it is very annoying that apple, trying in a sneaky way force us to buy...very dangerous manipulations...
iPhone 6 >iOS 9.3.1
macbook pro 09> el capitan
