iMac stolen can I access my photos

bbefore my imC was stolen I backed it up to icloud. With my iPad, I do not find the iMac photos. Help

How did you backup the Mac to iCloud? How did you store the photos in iCloud? With iCloud Photo Library? With My Photo Stream? Did you copy photos to iCloud Drive?

Then you should be able to see your photos in the Photos.app on your iPad, if you enable iCloud Photo Library on your iPad. You need at least iOS 8.3 on the iPad and sign in with the same AppleID you used on your Mac. See: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204264

In iOS 8.3 or later, go to Settings > iCloud > Photos, then turn on iCloud Photo Library.
