iPhone 5C Global or GSM?

Carrier: Verizon
iPhone 5c, iOS 8.4
All Verizon LTE capable iPhones, including the 5c, are GSM unlocked. It can be used on any compatible GSM carrier. It can not be used on any CDMA carrier other than Verizon.

But is the iPhone itself CDMA or GSN?
It supports both CDMA (but ONLY on Verizon) and GSM.
K, thanks. My phone is having issues downloading iOS 8.4 and I needed to download it from a third party site, but I needed to know if it was GSM or global.
That is an incredibly bad idea.
Well, I tried to update through iTunes, and through iOS, and it wouldn't let me. But I now did it, and my phone seems fine. It made a call, and it updated successfully, and I knew what I was doing, so it worked. (But I hated doing that, and it was a bad idea)
Did you go with GSM or Global? My phone is the exact same and I'm having issues with iOS 9 and need to manually update it using a 3rd party site.
