I noticed that the size of my photo library is 7Gb and I just have 3 pictures in it. Obviously i would appreciate the space, so my question is: should i just delete it? I don't use Photos anyhow 😟

Before you delete the library open the library package as shown in this screenshot:
locate the Masters folder and check inside its subfolders to see if there are any photos you want to keep. If so copy to the Desktop before deleting the library.

@Old Toad: Thank you so much for the advice, I found the files in the subfolders (tried opening the packages before, but had trouble locating the files) Turns out that the pics i had deleted a month ago were still there for some reason. I should be able to fix it from here 🙂

In Photos use the File ➙ Show Recently Deleted menu option.
That will take you to the photos you've deleted. That are normally kept 30 days before deleting from the library in case you change your mind. You can delete them all from that window and that should reduce the library size.
