Ipod Touch 5th Gen Battery Drain

I'm sure a lot of people have already made posts about this because I've looked it up myself. Nobody ever really explains the usage in their posts though.... i think. I've had my Ipod for 2 years at least, but I never expected the batter to drain within 40 minutes of use. This isn't even playing games or videos either. When i play a game or watch a video, the ipod drains so fast that I probably wont even get 15-20 minutes of use on it. I'm just going to assume that the batter is legit on the verge of death. I don't know if anyone can suggest anything to me, but that would be great. Thanks in advance 🙂

You can try the following but I suspect the battery is on its last legs

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar

If only the battery is bad,

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one with a new battery for $79. They do not fix yours.

A third-party place like the following will replace yur battery for less. Google for more.

iPhone Repair, Service & Parts: iPod Touch, iPad, MacBook Pro Screens

Replace the battery yourself if you are up to it. A replacement battery costs abut $15
