Q: 10.10.4 Connections Worse than Before Update

After doing some crude testing last night I noticed a few things.  When I had devices plugged into my USB ports drawing power/charging the power of my wifi card was turned down.  I had my MBP plugged into power (85W MagSafe2 Power Supply) and when I plugged in my USB 3 hub to the left USB 3 port, my 1 TB Seagate backup drive into the USB 3 hub, my iPhone 4S into the USB 3 hub and my iPhone 6 Plus into the right USB 3 port, my wifi would drop and I was not able to see ANY SSID's except for the one I was just connected to.  I unplugged my iPhone 6 Plus and then 2 more SSID's appeared (the xfinity wifi in my house and my next door neighbors) and I was then back on my wifi and I could ping my gateway.  I then unplugged the iPhone 4S and 3 more SSID's suddenly appeared, I then unplugged the 1 TB Seagate drive and USB 3 hub and now all 12 SSID's were in the wifi network list as usual.

Then today I had the lid closed and the 1 TB Seagate drive plugged in.  When I raised the lid and tried using the internet it was a no go.  I turned the wifi off and back on but still no go.  I then unplugged the 1 TB Seagate drive and then it connected to wifi........  Has anyone else ever noticed this behavior with their MBP prior to the 10.10.4 update?

Also try turning off Bluetooth.

If your Wi-Fi source is capable of generating a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network, try that to help avoid conflicts with Bluetooth.

I can confirm (at least so far) that turning off Bluetooth solves the WiFi connection issues introduced with 10.10.4. So nice to have a stable connection again - but certainly would like to be able to use Bluetooth, too.

Unfortunately having this command running didn't seem to help this particular connection issue. Seems like related to an issue when Bluetooth is on.

Sorry to hear that - I am using Bluetooth together with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, but this command works for me though. Anyways, thanks for trying and feedback!

Switching off bluetooth indeed solved the problem BUT I have an apple mouse that runs on bluetooth. Is there a way to fix this problem with bluetooth turned on. I will truly appreciate any help.
