Apple Music not working on cellular data
I was eagerly looking forward to Apple Music but discovered that it will not work unless I'm connected to WiFi. Is this intentional? Is there any way to allow it to search and stream using cellular data?

I had this. There are two settings that can conflict with each other.
First setting: Under iTunes & App Store, Use Cellular Data has to be enabled.
Second setting: Under Cellular, Scroll down to find Music and make sure it is enabled.
Then you are good.

I have the same issue and theres so fix, i try restarting the phone switching all off and then on, still nothing is working.
when I turn on the on button to allow music to use cellular data it changes back to off as soon as I access music
I toggled the use cellular data under iTunes and App Store and it seens to make it work for me. I'm on a slow cell network right now, but Beats 1, Radio, and Apple Music features all work for me after a toggle.
Apparently nobody on these forums reads the previous posts. đ
Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Use Cellular Data
That's all you have to do, people!!! Enabling Music from the Cellular menu is not necessary. That is only for downloading music purchases made on other devices. All you need to do is enable Use Cellular Data.
Yeah but by doing this i have to turn off Automatic Downloads for Apps or it will use my cellular data for those as well. They need to change this to "Use Cellular Data" per choice above, not for all.
IKR!!!!!!!
I was looking to see if anyone alse noticed this stupid flaw online and I'm glad someone has! if you want to use apple music over cellular you HAVE to have automatic app updates over cellular, even if you only want app updates over wifi! seems like apple just shoved the apple music setting there without designing it properly.
Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Use Cellular Data
You'll have to contact Apple for an answer. I would imagine it was done this way to help people avoid major data charges since most people are on metered data plans these days.
I dont think it's an issue with wifi. It's an issue with the iTunes Store, because I can't connect on either wifi or LTE on my iPhone.
Um, actually the problem for me WAS that music was turned off in the cellular tab. I guess it defaults to off for some people. There's never only one solution to a problem!
Not true. Both buttons need to be "on". Ridiculous requirement but true. Shame on Apple!
I Had to go to settings >music and enable cellular data from there as well. So there were three places i set to on before it started working.
Thank you very much. This helped me resolve the issue.
