Arrow on Top right of iPad screen
There is an arrow on the top right of the screen right next to the battery indicator, what doe it mean and to remove it.

Does the arrow have a padlock within it? This is Screen Orientation lock and enables/disables the iPad's screen from rotating to match the device's physical orientation.
If the screen doesn't rotate on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If that's not it and is only an arrow indicator, it's Location Services.
