iOS 8.4 stuck during install iPhone 6 Plus

Anyone else having a problem updating their 6 Plus?


Ran the update off my MBP, not off the phone. Got stuck at one point it seemed (operation 13 progress 91.) The update eventually seemed to complete, but was then getting an error that the device ID was missing and the iPhone couldn't connect to iTunes.


Delete the initial 8.4 package, redownloaded, put the phone in DFU, and tried again.


Stuck. From the log it's been stuck almost 30 minutes at:


[16:25:20.1536] <Restore Device 0x61000033b1c0>: operation 13 progress 96

[16:25:20.1552] ASR progress: Sending payload


Any ideas?

  • YEs mine got stuck and is still stuck, on my phone it shows update requested and has been like this since Thursday, and when I tried to download it from itunes on my laptop (windows 7), I got error message 3014. I spoke to several different tech help agents from apple and no one was able to help me. So frustrated, I have never had a problem with downloading an update before so I am frustrated and do not know how to fix it.

Yeah, definitely not jail broken. Hard reset the phone in the middle of the update. Was able to get it to finally go through on another try. Zapped the PRAM and SMC on the MBP and fingers crossed seems ok now. Very weird though. Thanks for your help.
