script editor acting weird

sunday my script editor totally went awol. In the middle of coding it just hung up and froze. luckily I did a TimeMachine backup 3 days before and lost NO data. I did a total restore and everything came back to normal after 3.5 hrs. look at the editor window. when things get weird, I save and quit. then re-open. it seems OK but I am losing my faith in stability.

I can confirm similar behavior from time to time on a new machine running 10.10.3. Since I always have backups of the affected documents before running a script, I haven't had to resort to multi-hour restores. I just Force Quit Script Editor and fire it up again. A few times I've had to restart the Mac. Have no idea what causes the behavior. Lately the problem seems to have self-corrected.
