Just downloaded iTunes 12.2
When I play Beats 1 the Airplay icon gets removed which means I can not play the Beats 1 radio station to my stereo. The icon shows up for other radio stations and my music library.
Anyone else see this?

I came just to look up this exact problem. On my Macbook Air, Airplay works fine with the other radio stations, but the icon disappears completely with Beats 1. On my iPad, Beats 1 works just fine via Airplay.
I am on right now with Apple Support. Being escalated to a sr tech. Will post the results.

Same issue. Also affecting the BBC World service channel. Seems to only be channels that don't require you be signed up for apple music.
Still on with Apple Support. The sr tech said he had to investigate. That was 40 minutes ago. I am hearing Ring of Fire for the 3rd time.

Same here. I can play Beats1 AirPlay via iPhone, but not iTunes.
Same exact problem on two different Macs – both are latest hardware, latest software, and I'm using an Airport Extreme router.

Same here. Just like the NPR station. Only plays through my computer speakers. Airplay icon disappears. All other stations can be played through airplay.
I'm sure they have a long list of things that aren't going quite as planned.
I never understand why we can AirPlay stations like NPR from iOS but not from Mac.
Because it is broken and they are too busy tripping over themselves in the race forward to go back and ensure that what they created actually works.
Yup - Exact same problem.
I can see Airplay in different parts of iTunes. When I switch to Beats 1, the icon goes away.
The same problem here. However, I can play iTunes by option-clicking volume-icon on the menu-bar. The side-effect is that all sounds play in stereos.
It also could be a legality issue? Not sure. I can AirPlay it to my speakers from iPhone/iPad but from Mac (which is the only way I can AirPlay to my multiple speakers) and the icon completely disappears.
Now if you want to AirPlay to just 1 speaker, Option Click on your volume icon in the task bar and you can select your speaker and AirPlay that way.
Nice hint to set AirPlay destination, however Beats won't even airplay with this here on my Mac.
Must be a legality thing 😟
