Oct 6, 2015 11:15 AM in response to MissPauby Mr. Airport,I had the rotation problem right after updating to iOS9.0.2 on my iPad Air 2, WiFi, 64GB.
(No rotation problems with iOS 8.4.1, 9.0, 9.0.1)
The following solved it: Settings => General => Reset => Reset All Settings
(When restoring a previous backup with iTunes after the reset, the rotation bug came back)

Oct 7, 2015 11:35 AM in response to MissPauby JACMOVE,Thank you for the post. I performed the exact same process which you've suggested, and everything seems to work just fine now. In time past, I would only "reset all settings", but this orientation issue would crop up again. Hopefully the full restore of my iPad Air 2 running iOS 9.0.2 continues to work properly.

They said this issue was addressed in 9.0.2 update. Though you still need to do a full reset, yes, it was resolved for iPad Air 2 WiFi 128 GB
A "full reset" was not required in my case. As soon as I installed the iOS 9 update, the issue was corrected.

Oct 7, 2015 2:44 PM in response to JACMOVEby MissPau,I'm glad it worked! Both methods suggested (a, Full reset from iTunes or b. Reset all on the iPad) seem to work for most. I haven't had any other malfunctions so far. Let's hope it stays the same. :)
