how do i stop apple communities e mails
I no longer wish to follow iPhoto communities. How do I stop the emails to my email account

It sounds like you want to unfollow the iPhoto community. To accomplish that, the following communities help document provides the answer:

Manage your subscriptions to specific Communities.
You can select Unfollow to stop following a Community.
You can search for communities to follow.
You can subscribe to a community from any community homepage. Simply select Follow.
