Ipad - Safari/Chrome Adware issue - Please help!

Hi Friends,

I am extremely hassled by ad pop-ups on Safari/Chrome of my I-Pad Air. I have seriously not been able to browse the net using I-Pad for the longest time now. The pop-up that opens up - Total ad performance / imee.biz.

I have tried rebooting and my pop up blocker in safari options under settings is on. But this adware has attached itself to every possible website. Is my Ipad no longer usable?

I have seen some suggestions for MacBook; however, I will be grateful for your advice on how to fix on I-Pad. If you could also redirect me to a video tutorial that too would be extremely helpful.
