iTunes 12.2 Music Playlists Artwork?

I am still trying to update to 12.2. How did you get the update to work. It is still showing coming soon for me. I have it installed on my iPhone and iPad so far and loving it.

This does seem to be remarkably pointless change - who on earth thought it a good idea to allocate 10-15% of the available screen space to something that conveys no additional information or provides any additional controls?

Yea this is pretty annoying. I'm not sure why Apple feels the need to keep pushing changes onto people. They already removed the old get info window and butchered the new one. I can't think of any good reason they feel the need to take my screen real estate. I also work a lot with playlists and I just noticed that this colour theme makes my iTunes slower than before. I have many Smart playlists and I have set it up like if i take one track off the list then it updates and removes the track from that playlist. On the same time it happens there is a sight glitch in the color theme and iTunes stalls for a 5th of a second. It is not noticeable while using it to play but I do it a lot and fast so this is annoying. Especially when dropping a track to another playlist and then it stalls and the drop happens to a unwanted section of playlists. It was working perfectly with 12.1. Anyone noticed that?

I have not yet found a way to remove this bar either.

Hopefully they will add the option or at least someone will find a terminal command to take it away.

I'd like to get rid of the Album by Artist column as well, as it's complete waste of space, but you can't even reorder the column layout. Is this the 21st Century or are we back in the 19th?

Not sure if I'm understanding the problem correctly... I don't know how to get rid of the bar on top, but you can get rid of the album artwork and re-order columns in a playlist. Under the main playlist tab there is a drop down list on the right, by default 'playlist' seems to be selected. if you change it to 'songs' it will give you the option of showing artwork, which columns you want displayed, etc. and you will be able to re-arrange the columns. Hope this helps a bit!

The problem is that whole banner area that says "80's Pop" in your case. It needs to go, it's dead space and there is no reason to take away from the rest of the view.

Aaargh! Not keen on the banners either.

Could somebody help me with the artwork in the playlists..? Some of my playlists show a mini artwork next to each track; some don't.

I can't work out why this is, or how to change it. Hopefully this is an easy one...Thanks!

UPDATE! I have realised my error, sorry! All sorted.

I called apple and they fixed it for me. On My iphone i went to icloud logged out . Then Deleted my account then signed back in connected my phone to my my Synced all my music again and all my art work came back

That isn't the purpose of this thread. This thread is talking about removal of that banner all together, not issues with album artwork not showing up on it correctly.
