Burning a Music CD and it won't playback

I have gone through 15 CD's trying to burn a playlist onto CD. The playlist is on the CD-R and completes itself. I try to play it back, and nothing.

I check the CD on the computer and it shows that it full.

All of my purchases are current, up to date, etc.

I conducted a check of the DVD burner via the computer and it is working properly.

I have re-inserted the CD into iTunes and it recognizes it as a non-blank CD.

A visual inspection of the CD shows that it has something on it.

I also checked for updates via iTunes and I am current.

I am running Windows8 on an HP Envy 700 PC that I have had for three months.
