Radio - Unable to check for available downloads

When I click on a music station in iTunes radio (Mac version 12.2.0.145), I receive the following error:


"Unable to check for available downloads. An unknown error occurred (-50)."


I've verified that I can click on other stations such as ESPN News and Sports, etc. But anytime I choose a music station (such as Disney or Country), I receive that error. I've also clicked Account / Check for Available Downloads, and successfully receive the message "All purchases have been downloaded for this Apple ID".


What can be done to fix this iTunes Radio issue?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

Hello there, geekmaster.


It seems, from what you are describing and the error message you are getting, that you're experiencing connection timeout with iTunes. The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great information on what may be contributing to that occuring:
