i am use to using a Android. I use to be able to backup with Gmail SMS backup. How do I backup my text messages to gmail. I see there are many apps that export to a Excel file but I don't want that. If I can't backup with gmail, how do backup

I use PhoneView, which is a Mac app. TouchCopy, which is available for both Mac and Windows is also often recommended.
Messages are also part of the back up you make to iCloud or with iTunes.

I Can't find either of those? I really want to backup to Gmail! How do I do this?
IM sorry but I don't think you understand me. I want to backup without attaching to my IMac. I want to automatically backup SMS messages to Gmail or another site without connecting to any PC or Mac. Pls advise, thank you
