apple music changed playlists

I'm new to streaming services and decided to give Apple's a try. Upon downloading the new iTunes, I noticed all my playlists are there but the tracks in them are completely different and the lists were reduced significantly. I immediately cancelled auto-renew for Apple Music but since I'm still in the free trial, I don't know how to go back to the way my library was a few hours ago. Is there a way to fix this without doing a restore in Time Machine? Is Apple Music meant to completely redo my existing playlists?
