iTunes Won't Update To 12.2
MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2010), OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)
The App Store serers are overloaded with prompts for the iTunes update. Same experience here.
Wait a day or two then try again.
I just tried updating from iTunes. i.e. From the iTunes apple menu I checked for updates and, as predicted, a popup box told me an update was available. I told it to download, the App Store opened, and checked for updates. It said no updates available. I'm at a loss, here.
And, sometimes, the simplest solution is the best one. I just restarted my computer. That's all. Immediately, upon restart, my installed version of iTunes "magically" became the correct version...12.2. Why that refused to happen, before, is anyone's guess.
The same thing is happening to me. I just checked the required specs for the update. For those of us on PC, you need to be operating Windows 7 or later. If, like me, you are running Windows Vista, we are out of luck!
Has anyone figured out a solution beyond just re-starting their computers? I've done this multiple times on both my MBP and my iMac, and it still won't update.
